The Wanted discuss plans for album 2! ♥

British boyband The Wanted have recently spoken about their plans for recording a follow-up to their self-titled debut album. Speaking to a British newspaper, the band confirmed that they will begin writing and recording their second release early in the New Year.

Singer Siva Kaneswaran said: "We've lined up two weeks next year with all the producers and writers in a house and we're going to start working on the next album.”

He also confirmed that the band would not be resting on their laurels and maintaining the sound that has got them recognition (including a spark of interest from across the pond-signed to DEF JAM!): "We're just trying to hone our skills and get a new sound. We're not thinking of a specific new sound, but we'll just try to let it come naturally."

The Wanted also revealed that they have tried to take more creative control from their management with their upcoming tour. Jay McGuiness said: “The whole concept of the tour was Max’s idea and management took it from there. We love putting our own stamp on things and now can’t wait to hit the road. But for now we’re keeping the theme of the show hush-hush as we don’t want to spoil the surprise for the fans.”

Tom Parker added: “We always said we’re not your average boyband. We have a lot of say over how we do things and it’s great because our team respect that.”
