Jay reckons that the band still have “a load of good songs” left over from their previous writing sessions and they just don’t want to waste them. One of these tracks is ‘Chasing The Sun’, a song they worked on with Example. The band have given it their seal of approval already, according to Jay, “Tom has it on his iPod and it’s now become his most played song on there! We’re hopefully going to record the track this week. It’s actually similar in some ways to ‘Glad You Came’. It won’t be out before Christmas because people don’t want to be raving when it’s p*ssing with snow.” Excellent point!
But considerate Jay is thinking about our pennies, he says they band are “conscious that we don’t rip off people because they’ll just get fed up and stop listening to us.”
So, hopefully the boys will be releasing the extended version of Battleground next year, will you be buying it?
