THE Wanted have vowed not to go to bed and party all night following the BRIT Awards next week.
Excited by their nomination for British Single with debut effort All Time Low, the cheeky boyband plan to celebrate in big style.
Tom Parker, with me, left, says: “We’re flying to Singapore the next day so I’ve decided we should stay awake all night then just sleep on the plane.
“Rihanna is going to be at our record label party so I’m going to hijack her. It’s going to be very messy.”
Less than a year since arriving on the pop circuit, The Wanted are now firmly assured of a place in the charts.
And I can reveal they will release the official Comic Relief single on March 13 – a brand-new track called Gold Forever,
which gets its first play today on Radio 1.
With their own rising success, the lads are disappointed that pals JLS have missed out on a BRIT nomination after their double win last year.
Tom, 22, continued: “I was really surprised they didn’t get anything, but they’ve handed the baton to us and we’re doing it for the boybands.
“They should have a best boyband category but mind you, Take That would clear up in that.”
Tom has fond memories of seeing the BRIT Awards on TV as a teenager.
And he is excited about the move to London’s O2 Arena for the re-vamped BRITs on their 20th anniversary next Tuesday.
He added: “I want to wear a purple suit with a pink tie but the other boys are not so keen, so maybe it’ll be a white suit.”
Tom and bandmates Jay McGuiness, Max George, Nathan Sykes and Siva Kaneswaran head out on their first tour of the UK and Ireland next month
